Resource: How OJJDP Is Meeting the Needs of At-Risk and Justice-Involved LGBTQI-GNC Youth

This webpage features an interview with the point person on lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, and gender non-conforming (LGBTQI-GNC) issues at OJJDP. It includes information about the unique challenges LGBTQI-GNC youth face, why a disproportionate number of these youth end up in the juvenile justice system, what the federal government is doing to meet the needs of these youth, and ideas for how youth-serving professionals can better understand and work with this population.
