Report: Parent and Family Involvement in Education: 2023

This First Look report presents findings on students in kindergarten through 12th grade enrolled in public or private school, or homeschooled or taking virtual courses for these grades. The survey collected information about various aspects of parent involvement in education, such as family activities, parent involvement at school activities, and reasons for choosing the child’s school. For homeschooled students, the survey asked questions related to students’ homeschooling experiences, the sources of the curriculum, and the reasons for homeschooling. And parents of students taking virtual courses were asked about such things as the fees for virtual courses, and their reasons for enrolling their child in virtual courses.
