Individuals with Disabilities and Others with Access and Functional Needs
The Ad Council and FEMA launched a public service advertisement (PSA) as part of a series of videos that illustrate how people with disabilities can take charge to prepare themselves and their families for emergencies. The new PSA, which will be available on the Ad Council’s and FEMA’s YouTube channels, as well as in the FEMA media library, emphasizes the Ready.gov campaign’s four building blocks of preparedness: Be Informed, Make a Plan, Build a Kit, and Get Involved.

NCD is an independent federal agency charged with advising the President, Congress, and other federal agencies on policies, programs, practices, and procedures that affect people with disabilities. Report: Adverse Childhood Experiences and Life Opportunities
This report describes a study which analyzed data from 10 states and the District of Columbia that used the adverse childhood experiences (ACE) module in the 2010 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System to examine the association between ACEs and adult education, employment, and income. Compared to participants with no ACEs, those with higher ACE scores were more likely to report high school non-completion, unemployment, and living in a household below the federal poverty level.

This website is a comprehensive, interactive resource for professionals working with military families. It provides a searchable database that categorizes information on the effectiveness of programs covering a wide variety of risk and protective factors. Program submissions are accepted from military and civilian professionals and are reviewed for placement on a continuum of evidence and inclusion on the Clearinghouse website.
